TEAM BIG DOG
ReplyDeleteGames for this week:
1. OSU vs. Michigan State
The Ohio State University ~ Tressel Ball, not exciting but a win!
2. Vanderbilt vs. Georgia
Vanderbilt, hey they have country music going for them!
3. Missouri vs. Texas
Texas, steers with big horns are on a roll.
4. Kansas vs. Oklahoma
Oklahoma wants to win....BUT KANSAS WINS THE SHOCKER OF THE WEEK!
5. California vs. Arizona
Who cares.....Arizona, remember its a dry heat.
And the oddball game this week is:
6. Florida Atlantic vs. Western Kentucky
Western Kentucky, its what happens when cousins date cousins.
1. OSU vs. Michigan State
ReplyDeleteW-OSU: OSU's offense last week looked like the 2007 Notre Dame team.
2. Vanderbilt vs. Georgia
W-Georgia: Doesn't the name Georgia Vanderbilt sound like an old southern lady?
3. Missouri vs. Texas
W-Missouri: I'm calling the upset.
4. Kansas vs. Oklahoma
W-Oklahoma:
5. California vs. Arizona
W-Cal:
6. Florida Atlantic vs. Western Kentucky
W-Florida Atlantic:
Hudy Delights picks of the week
ReplyDeleteOSU over Michigan State
Georgia over Vandy
Texas over Mizzou
Oklahoma over Kansas
Cal over Arizona
FAU over Western Kentucky
Buckeye Cock says:
ReplyDelete1. OSU - Barely. The loss of Lawrence Wilson is going to smart a little bit, okay, a lot. Contain Ringer and we should be fine.
2. Georgia - Who called the upset last week? This kid. Not even close this week.
3. Mizzou - Game of the week right here. I can't imagine Mizzou will lose 2 in a row. Chase Daniel really is good, even though their defense is not.
4. OK - An angry Oklahoma will let out some frustration this week.
5. Cal - Even though they might be the ranked underdog, I like Cal in this one.
6. Western Kentucky - I like them at home, and boy, have they played a lot of good teams.
OLD BAG OF MAN SAYS:
ReplyDelete1) OSU. SORRY DANTONIO, NOT THIS YEAR.
2) GEORGIA. I STILL HAVE A HARD TIME PICKING VANDERBILT FOR ANYTHING ATHLETIC.
3) TEXAS. THOUGH IT WOULD BE NICE TO SEE THE BIG 12 BEAT UP ON EACH OTHER.
4) OKLAHOMA. CAN'T SEE THEM LOSING 2 IN A ROW.
5) CALIFORNIA. IS LUTE OLSEN STILL THE COACH?
6) FLORIDA ATLANTIC. THOUGH I DO LOVE THE NAME HILLTOPPERS.

1. Ohio State over Michigan State - Going into the season, this game and Wisconsin made me the most nervous of any on the Big 10 slate. Sitting here right now, I was right.
ReplyDelete2. Vanderbilt over Georgia - Joe, either you underestimate how much of a homer I am, or you want to knock me off of the top spot in the standings, but there is a reasonable justification for picking the Commies. Two years ago, they won in Athens. Last year, they should have won in Nashville but allowed the Dawgs to kick a last second-field goal. This year's team closes games unlike any Vandy team I have ever seen.
3. Missouri over Texas - Fair play to Texas last week for an outstanding win over Oklahoma, but I still like Daniel over McCoy, and the #1 spot has been the kiss of death.
4. Oklahoma over Kansas - I'm still surprised OU lost last week in Dallas, but I don't see them dropping another to Kansas.
5. Cal over Arizona - Cal is movin' on up in the Pac-10. Arizona isn't that good.
6. Western Kentucky over Florida Atlantic - WKU has a ridiculous mascot.
Pat Head’s Picks:
ReplyDeleteGames for this week:
1. OSU over Michigan State: For OSU and PSU to be both undefeated in the Big 10 when they play each other, they need to avoid overlooking their opponents from the state of Michigan this week.
2. Vanderbilt over Georgia: I have a new theory. Every team Tennessee loses to in the SEC will lose the following week to a team they’re supposed to beat. Florida beat UT at home, then lost to Ole Miss. Auburn beat UT then lost to Vandy, then Arkansas. Now it’s Georgia’s turn to lose. (UCLA also lost to BYU 50+ to 0 after beating UT the previous game.)
3. Texas over Missouri: I sure as hell hope this is the last time a Missouri game is one of the game choices. I think I’m ofer in picking their games.
4. Oklahoma over Kansas: Boomer Sooner! I just like sayin’ that!
5. Arizona over Cal: Cal who? I didn’t realize Cal was ranked.
And the oddball game this week:
6. Western Kentucky over Florida Atlantic: I don’t really have a clue why.

Can't predict any upsets this week.
If I was a betting man (and I am) I'd put some cash on Michigan. Not saying they'll win, but they'll be close.
You've got to respect the firm enforcement of the rules by Moderator Neff. No bull this year. I feel your pain, I had one post rejected already. I give credit to people who don't put up with crap from the panel.
Hudy is human after all.
Nostrapigskinus Reads His Tarot Cards and Predicts:
ReplyDeleteOSU def. Michigan State: The protege does not beat the teacher. But, Nostrapigskinus does predict that MSU will be changing for conference supremacy within the next 5 years. Dantanio learned from the Best: The (Sweater) Vest.
Georgia def. Vanderbilt: Commodores, you REALLY helped me out in the Guest Panel standings with one big upset earlier this season (vs. Auburn), but, I don't think that lightning strikes twice. Gamblers, take the point spread over in this one.
Texas def. Missouri: My mind says to go with Texas, my heart says to go with Missouri. I just think that Daniel & Co. don't lose two straight conference games, they have way too much talent to do that. But, everyone else is hopping onto the Texas bandwagon, so I'll do the same. Plus the game is at UT. I guess the power of Colt McCoy's spectacularly awesome name did lead his team to victory last week vs. Oklahoma. Who knows who'll be left standing in the Big 12 this season, with Oklahoma, Texas, Texas Tech (unlikely), Missouri, and Oklahoma State battling for conference supremacy.
Oklahoma def. Kansas: Kansas is this season's leading contender for the "We Played a Cupcake First Half of the Schedule, and We're Going to Get Our A**es Handed to Us in the Second Half When We Start Playing Our Stacked and Packed Conference Opponents" Award. Oklahoma's offense didn't show any weaknesses last week vs. Texas, they just can't stop a Heisman trophy caliber QB and WRs playing the games of their lives on defense.
California def. Arizona: How Cal ever lost to my hometown team (University of Maryland Terrapins), I'll never know. If the motto at USC is "we don't rebuild, we reload," then Cal has the same motto at RB: J.J. Arrington, Marshawn Lynch, Justin Forsett, and now Jahvid Best. Damn.
Western Kentucky def. Florida Atlantic: This game should be called, "The Battle to Claim the Title of 'The Team That Sucks Less'". That title should go to the Fightin' Hilltoppers of WKU.
spamsandwichsan says... anyone else pick the browns over the giants?
ReplyDelete1. OSU over Michigan State - state is looking better than the past few years, but that still doesn't mean much.
2. Georgia over Vandy
3. Missouri over Texas
4. Kansas over Oklahoma
5. Arizona over Cal
6. Florida Atlantic over Western Kentucky
sorry, not much in the comment section this week. i'll have to hit the pbr harder next week to get some inspiration!
