W-OSU: Anything can happen in the OSU vs Michigan game, but OSU will leave the Big House with a big W.

W-Penn State: This game will actually be pretty close and may come down to a last second field goal.

  4. Old Bag of Man:
    1) Seriously? OSU wins and Taint Forcier cries on Dick Rod's shoulders. All while wearing 1954 uniforms.

    2) PSU wins. No wins for the state of Michigan this weekend.

    3) Stanford wins. They're the hot team in the PAC-10....right now.

    4) UNC wins. How do you like them apples?

    5) Oklahoma wins. This was a much better game last year.

    6) San Jose St wins. Not sure why.

    3. Stanford
    4. Boston College
    5. Oklahoma
    6. Hawaii

I only wish there were more weeks in the season now that this formula for picks is leading to some success.

How many more weeks are we going? Will it be enough to catch our previously untouchable leader?

Hudy, to borrow a line from Planes, Trains and Automobiles: "You're going in the wrong direction!" I hate even talking trash, it's not my style. I hope you know it's all in good fun.

Did you all see the article by Pat Forde about OSU and Jim Tressel? Talk about mean-spirited. Some people are just jealous and that is all I can attribute his piece to.

  6. Andy Katzenmoyer's Professor States:

Kudos where kudos are due: congrats to Batman and The Hair for great picks last week and pulling closer to Pat Head and El Cockerino.

Ohio State def. Michigan: The Professor's A+ game of the week; not because I think it'll be a competitive game (it won't be), but just because of the rivalry and history. In Michigan, we have yet another team to fall victim to the Sports Illustrated curse. They were featured in an article the week after they beat Notre Dame. Since then? 3-6, with wins over Indiana, Eastern Michigan, and Delaware State. Not exactly victories to be proud of.

Penn State def. Michigan State: Not a lot of confidence in this pick.

Stanford def. California: With Luck on your side, you can't lose! Okay, I'm done with bad puns for the rest of the Guest Panel season.

North Carolina def. Boston College: UNC has beaten two top 14 teams in the past 3 weeks. That trumps losing to Notre Dame, like BC did 3 weeks ago.

Oklahoma def. Texas Tech: Going with the oddmakers on this one, even though Oklahoma has screwed me over 2x previously this season. I'll never learn.

Hawaii def. San Jose State: There will be no Spartans preparing for glory on Saturday at 8 PM in Spartan Stadium (CA).

    OSU beats Michigan

It’s NEVER an off year for this Best-In-All-Of-Sports rivalry. I wholeheartedly hope we beat them 87-0 just so we can own the worst ass-kicking in game history. You can never be too hard on a team that embodies the very meaning of filth and vileness. Hate doesn’t fully capture my feelings for that crap-hole up North…I just hope our team returns without contracting H1N1 from that frigid disease ridden breeding ground.

    Penn State bests MSU

C’mon – No way the Lions lose to a mediocre Big 10 opponent. After that devastating loss handed to them by the Good-Guys they’ll be seeking redemption! To MSU…maybe next year.

    Stanford out-smarts Cal

Obvious Rose Bowl opponent implications in this one. Cal isn’t a surprise, but if you were to ask me three weeks ago if Stanford would be in the mix, I’d have slapped you! Nice to know we can take care of business in our conference.

    North Carolina tar-and-feathers BC

I’ll be watching the Thursday hard-court matchup with a little more interest as we try to jump all over this perennial powerhouse in the Garden. And just like we’ll see there, the Tarheels D-Fence between the hash marks will prove a monumental hurdle for BC. Low score in this nail-biter.

    Oklahoma hammers TCU

It’s the excellent passing game of the Cowboys vs. the strong rushing game of the Sooners. I’ll take the rushing team every time.

Hawaii breezes by San Jose State

Have to like Hawaii in this one…Offense racks up many yards and will continue the trend.

  10. Pat Head likes being the underdog better than being the team to beat...that's probably not very Summitt-like though:

    1. Ohio State over Michigan - OSU v. Michigan week has arrived. Joe has had the OSU flag out all week in preparation. The Bucks will embarrass Dick Rod again!

    2. Penn State over Michigan State

    3. Stanford over Cal - Did Stanford actually give Jim Harbaugh a $50,000 bathroom?

    4. Boston College over UNC - ACC who? I forgot they were still a conference.

    5. Oklahoma over Texas Tech

    6. Hawaii over San Jose State - never again will I pick against the oddsmakers in a oddball game!!

  12. So taking a risk and picking Utah didn't work well for me last week but Buckeye Cock is not out of it yet.

    1. Ohio State - We got the roses out of the way, now it's time to deal with the thorns. Hey, that was kind of good. Go Buckeyes!

    2. Penn State - This one should not be close.

    3. Stanford - Cal should not even be mentioned anymore. This one should not be close.

    4. North Carolina

    5. Texas Tech - Let's see if the fat girlfriends have been silenced.

    6. Hawaii
