    1. Baylor over Oklahoma State - Baylor could win the Big XII South!
    2. TCU over Utah - TCU's defense is very good.
    3. Arkansas over South Carolina - After getting up for the Alabama game, the Gamecocks' slide continues.
    4. Stanford over Arizona - Andrew Luck is too good for Arizona.
    5. Alabama over LSU - LSU is lucky. Alabama is good.
    6. Wake Forest over Boston College

Buckeye Cock is back. I don't know what has been going on since I've been gone or how Pat has a 5 game lead on me, but it's time for the Cock to "stey yo game up."

First of all, Harry Chance. There are currently 2 people in 8th place. Harry Chance is one of them. I know that you want to know who Harry Chance is, but you'll have to wait. He's not ready to change his name to Harry Chance quite yet.

Enough chit chat, on to the picks:

    1. OK State - Baylor went to Texas and won! Woo hoo!! For them to go on the road and do it again, I don't think so.

    2. Utah - No one has really talked a lot about this Utah team. They'll start talking now.

    3. South Carolina - I had a tough time with this one but I had to stick with my Cocks.

    4. Stanford - Not even close.

    5. Alabama - LSU is still over rated.

    6. Wake Forest - random coin flip?

  6. Pat Head's Picks:
    1. Oklahoma St. over Baylor

    2. Horned Frogs over Utes

    3. Arkansas over South Carolina - I may regret this pick considering that Arkansas has suffered some losses to their receiving corp, but considering how many yards UT put up on SC's secondary, I think Arkansas will be able to squeeze out a victory.

    4. Stanford over Arizona

    5. Alabama over LSU - I still don't think LSU is all that good this year. I think Bama will win big.

    6. Boston College over Wake Forest - interesting odd ball game! The poor ACC.

Oklahoma St beats Baylor - Baylor isn't bad this year but they won't do it twice in a row.

TCU beats Utah - Me no likey either team but since Utah will never enter the lime-light again after this season they get to start their losing trend right now.

South Carolina beats Arkansas - The cocks lay one on the hogs... Couldn't resist.

Stanford over Arizona - Prediction: Jim Harbaugh will be the coach at Notre Dame next season.

Alabama beats LSU - There's still only 1 team in the SEC this season IMO...and Auburn isn't it.

Boston College over Wake Forest - I think having to pick an ACC matchup in football should count as an odd-ball pick.

  9. Old Bag of Man is not on bye week:

    1) Okl. St. Not a believer in Baylor yet.

    2) TCU. What is a Ute?

    3) Arkansas. The Ol' ball coach is looking forward to golf during the winter.

    4) Stanford. Smart kids.

    5) Alabama. LSU can't luck there way in this game.

    6) Wake Forest. Pretty sure no one east of Virginia cares about this game.

  10. spamsandwichsan says...

    1. W: Oklahoma St.
    2. W: Utah - either way, they could both loose multiple times and still be ranked above OSU according to BCS!!
    3. W: South Carolina - the game cock should be able to perform at home at night!
    4. W: Stanford - if Arizona college teams look anything like their Cardinal professional counterpart, i hope they can start someone better than Derek Anderson!
    5. W: Alabama - fake punts and trick plays won’t win this one for LSU!!
    6. W: Boston College - i’ll have to choke down the rest of my Sam Adam’s Oktoberfest during this game... it just tastes a bit ‘off’ after having such a good Great Lakes this year!

  12. Carl's Stone Cold Pipe Locks of the Century (of the Week #10)

For those of you Buckeye Pregame Blogspot readers that don't know, our esteemed Mr. Moderator is now officially Mr. Moderator, Esq. And he demands that everyone refer to him as such. Except for Carl. Carl still calls whatever the h*ll he wants. Because he's Carl, and Carl is the baddest a** around. Now, onto the picks...

Oklahoma St. def. Baylor: With Justin "Pass Me Another OE 800" Blackmon back on the playing field this week, expect the Cowboys to put Baylor in its place.

TCU def. Utah: Since when did this game become the game of the week, let alone one of the biggest games of the entire season?!?! Sheesh...a bunch of second rate Longhorns vs. a prayer group of Mormons. Who woulda thought...

Arkansas def. South Carolina: South Carolina has the nation's 105th ranked pass defense. Arkansas QB Mallett passes for about 700 yards per game. You don't need to be Nostrapigskinus to pick this game folks.

Stanford def. Arizona: Okay, so I'm stealing a line from our esteemed former Guest Panel colleague Andy Katzenmoyer's Professor from last season, but with (Andrew) Luck on your side, you can't go wrong!

Alabama def. LSU: I think I need a rocket scientist to explain to me how and why LSU is 7-1 and ranked #10 in the country, because anyone with less than an IQ of 150 can't do it sufficiently.

Boston College def. Wake Forest: So Mr. Moderator does have a sense of humor after all! Three years ago, this would have been a HUGE game this late in the season...how times have changed! But when you lose 62-14 to Maryland, you know you belong in the Buckeye Pregame Blog oddball game. Welcome Demon Deacons!!!
