Here are the games for the Guest Panel to consider this week. Below are the standings as well. This will be the last week for the Guest Panel Regular Season. Auburn cockblocks South Carolina - After ruining my Alabama pick last week - this panelist is a believer in Cam Newton - (whether he be the next Reggie Bush or not)
ReplyDeleteNebraska husks Oklahoma - Pretty sure next season will be a buzz-saw in the Big-10 once Martinez and co. enter the conference
Florida State tomahawk-chops Virginia Tech - Hey they looked good last week...they'll carry momentum.
Pittsburgh sneak-attacks Cincinnati - Cincy sucks w/out their not-so-dearly-departed-ND-coach. Neither team deserves to be in the BCS talk.
Connecticut pack-hunts South Florida - Speaking of undeserved...while I do lament the over-hype of Boise, it's Big-East teams in a match-up like this one that invalidates my logic.
Troy defeats Florida Atlantic - Upon discovering their team highlighted as odd-ball game-of-the-week on the Buckeye Pre-Game blog - Troy disproves the critics and clears themselves of all online besmirchment.
Hudy Picks this week
ReplyDelete1. Auburn vs. South Carolina - Auburn

3. Florida State vs. Virginia Tech - Va Tech
4. Pittsburgh vs. Cincinnati - Cincinnati

Old Bag of Man needs to improve:
ReplyDelete1) Auburn. Everytime I pick them to lose they win.
2) Nebraska. Go future Big 10.
3) Virgina Tech. This is the best of the ACC. Wow.
4) Pitt. Not the same game it was last year.
5) UCONN. See #3 but add Big East for ACC.
6) Troy. Not sure why.

In conclusion, Buckeye Cock has had a terrible season. His play-by-play has gotten really bad as of late as well. I blame it on the new relationship. Girls can be so time consuming, sheesh. Shout out to my boy Harry Chance. Sorry I haven't called you back. You're my boy, Chance! Shout out to Joseph Neff for running the show again, we appreciate it. Congrats to Patty Head for proving that she can be consistent. Cock out!
1. South Carolina over Auburn - I don't know why I'm picking against Auburn again. I don't actually think that South Carolina is really good.
ReplyDelete2. Nebraska over Oklahoma - Nebraska wants redemption after being edged by Texas last year.
3. Florida State over Virginia Tech - I think Florida State is rolling pretty well right now.
4. Pitt over Cincinnati - The Big East sucks.
5. South Florida over UConn - The Big East also blows. (It's an anomaly of fluid mechanics!)
6. Florida Atlantic over Troy - In honor of new Titans starting QB Rusty Smith, I will take his alma mater.

Carl's Stone Cold Lead Pipe Locks of the Century (of the Week #14):
ReplyDeleteCarl coming up big in Week #13, earning a tie for first place, and moving into a tie for 3rd place overall. Well on my way to completing my late season goal of finishing in the top 3 (as well as beating the Cock's little Cock Dropping a**!). Now, onto the weekly picks...
Auburn def. South Carolina: Carl wouldn't be surprised at all to see the Cocks come out on top. In fact, he kind of hopes they do, even if they have the Ol' Visor Tossin' Coach as their head coach.
Oklahoma def. Nebraska: Going with the Sooners because in this Guest Panelist's mind, the 'Huskers have won (and lost) more than a few games this year by hook and/or crook. I think the Corns will give the Bucks a run for their money next year in the Big Ten though. May not be lucky #7 in a row in 2011...
Virginia Tech def. Florida State: I went against my Hokies earlier this season vs. BSU (using some hardcore intense logic), but, not again. In case the Buckeye Pregame Blog readers haven't noticed, my Hokies have won 10 straight games since the embarrassment vs. James Madison, and are undefeated in the Average Coast Conference. The Hokies will be spending New Year's Day in sunny and warm Miami in the Orange Bowl again in 2011.
Pittsburgh def. Cincinnati: How can one conference be so dominant in one sport (basketball) and so lousy in another (football)? Not to mention, how is a school in Texas considered part of the "East"? Oh yea...Carl knows how. When an automatic BCS bowl game berth and $15 million/year is at stake each season, that's how.
Connecticut def. South Florida: Two games this week involving Big East Conference teams?!?! It must be a slow week in college football (but not really)...anyways, with a BCS bowl game berth at stake, Carl thinks the Huskies muster up a decent effort and beat an average (at best) South Florida team. However, if UConn were in the Pac-10 or ACC (i.e., even an average BCS conference), they'd be in 5th or 6th place in the conference, at best. Sorry Huskies fans, but Carl calls it like it is.
Troy def. Florida Atlantic: Thank the Lord, the final oddball game of the season. Carl thinks that for next season, this weekly game should be retitled: The Reason why Carl isn't in First Place in the Guest Panel Game of the Week.

Pat Head's Picks:
ReplyDelete1. Auburn over South Carolina: I think SC does have a chance to win this one, but I was very impressed by Auburn's ability to come back in the second half against Bama, so I'm picking the Tigers.
2. Nebraska over Oklahoma: I like Nebraska.
3. Virginia Tech over Florida State: I always pick VT games wrong, so I'm sure the Seminoles will win this one.
4. Cincinnati over Pitt: I'm really not sure on this one.
5. South Florida over Connecticut: Talk about race for the bottom, the Big East has just imploded this year. I agree with Spielman, they should not be included in the BCS bowls this year.
6. Troy over Florida Atlantic
