Here are the games for the Guest Panel to consider this week. Below are the standings as well. Corso extended his lead by one game. Mel Kiper's Hair and Old Bag of Man moved up to second place with 6-1 records. Philly Cheese also moved up with a 6-1 record. Hudy was the only panelist with a 7-0 record and he moved to 9th place. The Toledo victory was not predicted by most of the Guest Panel.

Hudy Picks of the Week
ReplyDelete1. Ohio State vs. Purdue - Ohio State
2. Michigan vs. Michigan State - Sparty
3. Georgia vs. Florida - Georgia
4. Miami (FL) vs. Florida St. - FSU
5. Army vs. Air Force - Air Force
And the oddball game this week is:
6. UTSA vs. Tulsa
- Tulsa
Ohio State, 45-14. Maybe we can win one here this season...
ReplyDeleteMichigan - my heart wishes otherwise, but one must actually score points (other than against IU and Illinois) in order to win, Sparty.
Georgia - Speaking of inability to score, we see the Gators in our pool once again...
Florida St. - Going with the team that is winning in dominating fashion over the squad living life on the edge (and Shapiro's not even subsidizing the Canes any more).
Air Force - they win this one, 7-3
Tulsa - how did Tulsa suck so soon? And the sports highlight on UTSA's history, when up ten on Ohio State in the 2011 NCAA basketball tournament, with 34:00 to play: "It's over, yo." (Jared Sullinger to a trash-talking Roadrunner).
6-1 last week moved MKH into a tie for second! Keep it rolling...
ReplyDeleteOhio State beats Purdue - thirty-one and a half points - that's what most Vegas odds-men are giving Purdue. The only team on the pick-em board to win the away game.
Michigan loses to Michigan State - Spartans spear the invading Wolverines in the cold dark of night...or in this case 3:30 in East Lansing
Georgia loses to Florida - UGA the better team - but not in the Swamp
Miami loses to Florida St. - 'Noles look rightfully fantastic this season. Can their freshman QB hold up under the looming BCS pressure?
Army loses to Air Force - toughest game to pick...will take the Pilots at home against the Grunts
UTSA loses to Tulsa - feels like a mini red-river rivalry
Philly Cheese

OLD BAG OF MAN IS STEADILY CLIMBING THE STANDINGS.
ReplyDelete1) OSU. PLEASE NO REPEATS OF LAST YEAR.
2) MICHIGAN. INTERESTING GAME. MSU HAS NO OFFENSE AND UM HAS NO DEFENSE.
3) FLORIDA. BOTH TEAMS ARE STRUGGLING, GOING WITH THE HOME TEAM.
4) FSU. MIAMI REMINDS ME OF CLEMSON, STRUGGLING TO WIN AGAINST BAD TEAMS AND THEN THEY GET EXPOSED AGAINST A TOUGH TEAM.
5) AIR FORCE
6) TULSA
1. OSU - Could the Bucks hit 100? This might be the game.
ReplyDelete2. Michigan
3. Georgia
4. Florida st
5. Army
Hopefully I can climb out of last place!
Spamsandwichsan says...
ReplyDelete1. Ohio State over Purdue - Hyde stuffs the ball down their throats... and that damn train whistle up their asses!
2. Michigan State over Michigan - cut the 'I want Michigan to win as much as possible before playing the buckeyes to sweeten the victory' bull crap.... I want (fat) Brady Hoke to loose every week (yes, including their damn bye week) just so we can be the team that gives them a total loss of a season... And if that happens they will owe all the other teams in the big ten a pizza and a case of blue ribbon... At least that's how it would go down over a euchre table in the Finnegan house!
3. Georgia over Florida
4. Florida St. over Miami (FL) - I'm willing to sacrifice this pick for the good of the cause!
5. Army over Air Force - I wonder if army will keep it on the ground and Air Force will stick to the passing game???
6. UTSA over Tulsa
1. Ohio State - OSU has had trouble with lesser Purdue teams in the past, but this one is particularly bad.
ReplyDelete2. Michigan State - Michigan State has allowed 45 points in four games in October. Indiana scored 47 against Michigan in their last game.
3. Georgia - This one may not be close.
4. Florida State - This one will not be close.
5. Army - Why is Army-Navy such a big deal but Air Force gets no love?
6. Tulsa - I don't know anything about CUSA. My nickel says Tulsa.
Batman,
ReplyDelete1. Ohio State

Two full games behind the senile mascot-wearing AARP member, and now tied an over-caffeinated exquisitely coiffed college football panelist. Not a good Week #9 for Funtik, although he did FINALLY receive his spoils for winning the regular season in 2012 from Mr. Moderator earlier this week. Was it worth the nearly 12 month wait? I guess that depends on what your definition of is is. And in our monthly Funtik the Hog's College Football Man Crush Update, Fudge Van Hooser has yet to record a statistic of any sort in the 2013 season. No one ever said the College Football Man Crush had to be a good player, just that he had to fulfill the qualities and responsibilities of a College Football Man Crush. Onto this week's picks...
ReplyDeleteOhio State def. Purdue: Ross-Ade Stadium hasn't been kind to Ohio State in the past at times, but the way the Ohio State offense is rolling now, it'll be hard for any college defense short of Alabama to stop them. Take the Buckeyes with the points (whatever it might be) in this one.
Michigan State def. Michigan: First very difficult game of the week to pick. The Spartan(s, PREPARE FOR GLORY!), defense is spectacular as always, and Michigan has a Jekyll & Hyde offense. Without knowing anything more, I would say go with Michigan, but thankfully we have the Internet at our disposal and it tells me that MSU is the better team and will win this game.
Georgia def. Florida: Second very difficult game to pick for this week. This match-up sure looked a lot more fun and intriguing about a month ago, am I right? Georgia gets Gurley back from injury this week, and that should be good enough to give the Bulldogs a three point victory in the World's Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party.
Florida St. def. Miami: I don't think it'll be quite the level of the blowout that was FSU vs. Clemson, but Famous Winston is hella entertaining to watch play QB and should account for at least 3 TDs. Mark this game down as Funtik the Hog's Clairvoyant Snout Bucket Rummage Pick of the Week #10 (8-1 record in such games thus far this season).
Army def. Air Force: Yea sure, why not.
UTSA def. Tulsa: I have a cousin-in-law who lives in Tulsa. That's all I have to say about this game.
