  7. Ohio State, 35-24. If we couldn't stop #15 for Cincy, how will we stop Stefon Diggs? Hoping Fickell's Ashe finds a way...
Texas A&M - Last team with the ball type of game.
Oklahoma - Stoops getting back to his glory years. Win this, and they only have two more road games all year
Alabama -Too big of a test for Ole Miss.
Tennessee - UT gets a breakthrough win; Mod's wife gonna dig it!
San Jose State - I'm thinking that if I was in the Bay Area this Saturday night...I'd be anywhere other than at this game...

  8. Academic Fraud -

    1. Ohio State

    2. Texas A&M- Close one -should be a good game and A&Ms first test.

    3. Oklahoma- I think the Sooners pull it out even on the road

    4. Alabama- I don't think Ole Miss breaks the 10 game losing streak to the Crimson Tide.

    5. Tennessee - I think this game is wide open this year.

    6. San Jose St.

  9. Funtik increases his lead in the Guest Panel to a full two games over his closest competitor. Birds are chirping, bees are buzzing, and all is right in the world. Onto this week's picks..

Ohio State def. Maryland: The Fightin' Turtles are tougher than most people think, and their QB, when healthy, is very dangerous as a passer and runner. Picking our beloved Buckeyes, but the Terrapins should cover the spread. I would truly hate to see the Terpies beat both of my alma maters (Ohio State & Syracuse) in the span of a few weeks.

Texas A&M def. Miss. St.: Best game of the entire weekend. Prescott from Miss. State is the most underrated player in the conference. Going with the Aggies here mainly because they have a bit more of a track record as a strong team in the conference (and I think Miss. State's success thus far might be a bit of fool's gold), although I wouldn't be the least bit surprised to see Miss. State emerge victorious.

Oklahoma def. TCU: Oklahoma is one of those teams that could easily make the four team playoff, and everyone would be surprised. Don't be...this is not quite your older brother's Sooners team of the early '00s, but it's pretty damn close. Mark this game down as Funtik the Hog's Clairvoyant Snout Bucket Rummage Pick of the Week #6 (2-3 record in such games thus far...Funtik has a new rule - don't ever pick a game involving South Carolina as the Clairvoyant Snout Bucket Rummage Pick of the Week; can't depend on those damn Gamecocks for nothin'!)

Alabama def. Ole Miss: I don't know what they're putting in the water in Mississippi to make their college football teams so damn good this season, but the Buckeyes sure could use some of it. Whatever it is though, the Rebels still aren't quite up to the level of the Tide. Talk to me in 2-4 years though, and it may be a different story.

Tennessee def. Florida: Remember when this game used to have national title implications on a yearly basis? I remember portable CD players, Home Improvement, and the original The Matrix movie too.

San Jose St. def. UNLV: Shouldn't this game be renamed to "the game no one cares about of the week"?
