Stadium Turf Not Working

Anyone that watched the Indiana game last week, assuming you could get ESPNU (another topic for another day), noticed that the field looked horrible. There were pieces missing, players slipping, etc. It is hard to believe that this turf was installed this season. Check this earlier blog post regarding that installation. Clearly it is not working, but it is doubtful that anything can be done for the remaining home games. All signs point to artificial turf for next season. Oh and don't say Woody Hayes will be rolling in his grave, because he himself had artificial turf installed in the early 1970's. Luckily the artificial materials today are much better than then artificial turf-like carpet you saw in your neighbor's basement in the 1980's.
