Pete Carroll
In his 9th season of coaching and at USC he is 89-15. He is 1-0 against OSU and Jim Tressel. He played safety at Pacific University. He has been an assistant at Pacific, Arkansas (under Lou Holtz), Iowa State, Ohio State, and North Carolina State. Earl Bruce brought Carroll with him to OSU when he took over for the fired Woody Hayes. Carroll was the secondary coach at OSU in 1979, and that team lost to USC in the 1980 Rose Bowl. Carroll spent fifteen years in the NFL with the Buffalo Bills, New York Jets, San Francisco 49ers, New England Patriots, and the Seattle Seahawks.
