Terrelle Pryor-High Expectations

Expectations are high for Terrelle Pryor going into this season. Below are a few reasons the expectations are high.

Stats
He is 19-3 as the starting quarterback. He has rushed for 1,410 career yards, and he only needs 657 yards to become the all-time leader for QB rushing at OSU.  He is 10th on the all-time list at OSU for passing with 3,405 yards. He has 58 rushes for first down/touchdowns. In the Rose Bowl he had 338 yards of offense, with 266 yards passign and 72 yards rushing.

Rose Bowl MVP
Pryor is coming back this season after leading the Buckeyes to a Rose Bowl victor, and earning the Rose Bowl MVP. He is the first OSU Quarterback to return after earning the Rose Bowl MVP since Joe Germaine returned for OSU in 1997. The last Big Ten player to return after earning a Rose Bowl MVP was Ron Dayne at Wisconsin in 1999. Outside of the Big Ten other quarterbacks have returned after earning the Rose Bowl MVP; Vince Young with Texas, Matt Leinart at USC, and Ken Dorsey at Miami. Those quarterbacks led their teams to the National Championship game in the seasons following their Rose Bowl MVP.
