Here are the games for the Guest Panel to consider this week. Below are the standings as well. Congrats to Philly Cheese for being the only panelist with a 5-1 record, and he jumped up into a tie for third.  He was the only panelist that moved up in the rankings this week.

Iowa beats OSU - I know it's bad mojo to go against the Buck's but my mind tells me Iowa just dropped a look-past game against all our future Bosses and will be hungry. I predict a first half much like the one against Wisconsin and then we fight back but ultimately fall short.

Arkansas slices up Mississippi St. - is the back of a Hog really that sharp?

Nebraska cobbles Texas A&M - Nebraska will leave this Big 12 opponent in shambles once Martinez is done with them.

Oklahoma ahnilates (sp?) Baylor - Any other year this is a gimmie...wait...this IS still just any other year in this matchup.

Wisconsin blasts Michigan - I know we need the Blue to win this but I will NEVER root for that Team Up North.

Wyoming trips Colorado State - Going with the team with the shorter name...tried and true method for picking odd-ball games.

Batman:

1. Ohio State
2. Mississippi State
3. Texas A&M
4. Oklahoma
5. Michigan
6. Wyoming

I am picking a lot of home teams this week, with the exception of super powers OSU and Oklahoma.

I am doing this for 2 reasons. First, I need to find a way to jump the standings. Second, home field advantage plays big this time of year.

Colorado State is one of two Division I college football teams I have seen in person this year, and they were not good.

There are no guarantees for Ohio State this weekend.

Old Baggage here:

1) OSU. Thanks Northwestern for beating Iowa for us. But also thanks for pissing them off.

2) Arkansas. Michigan has to be kicking themselves for letting Mallett go.

3) Nebraska. Because they are future Big 10 members.

4) Oklahoma. I still can't believe in Baylor.

5) Wisconsin. They may put up another 83.

6) Colorado St. Rams can beat Cowboys. That's my reasoning.

Buckeye Cock:

Iowa - As much as this sucks, I don't think we can pull this one out. There's just too much pink in that locker room.

Arkansas - Not even close.

Nebraska - This one shouldn't be close. I would love for them to be Big 12 champs.

Oklahoma - Baylor is overrated.

Michigan - I'm going with the upset.

Wyoming - It's hard to win in Laramie.

Carl's Stone Cold Lead Pipe Locks of the Century (of the Week #12):

Carl was a bit worried about his Bucks last Saturday afternoon, down 14-3 at the half and Matt "The Groin" McGloin playing like Joe Montana. And then in the second half, we finally realized that WE ARE OHIO STATE, and THEY ARE PENN STATE. And we all know who gets the better of that battle. Now, onto the picks...

OSU def. Iowa: So Carl and his esteemed colleague The Hair were discussing this game/pick earlier in the week, and Hair nearly had Carl convinced to go with the Hawkeyes. And then Carl boldly and triumphantly stated to Hair, "Hair, let's not forget that these supposedly massive, tractor driving, corn-fed, Anglo-Saxon brutes lost to our future bosses and Supreme Court justices last week." Hair didn't have much to say after that. That being said, Carl would not be at all surprised to see a Buckeyes loss this week. But unless they're playing USC or an SEC team, Carl doesn't go against his team (and that counts for his Giants too).

Arkansas def. Mississippi St.: Don't ask him why, but Ryan Mallett may just be Carl's college football man crush of the season. Wait...did Carl just type that for the entire world to see?!?!

Nebraska def. Texas A&M: Since when does beating Baylor make you a legit top 20 team?!?! I got all the respect in the world for the Aggies (and they did beat Oklahoma as well) but, come on, seriously?!?! One upset victory at home versus a big rival does not a season make.

Oklahoma def. Baylor: Please see comment directly above.

Wisconsin def. Michigan: Michigan cornerback James Rogers was quoted with saying this week, regarding the offensive output of his team's opponent in its last game, "I guarantee they're not going to score 83 points on us." Are you really sure about that one, James? Let's not forget that your vaunted defense did allow the Mighty Fighting Illini of Illinois to score 65 points not too long ago.

Colorado State def. Wyoming: Mr. Moderator, Esq., Carl has noticed a distinct lack of oddball games this season involving your beloved Michigan directional schools. Carl is not pleased by this development, and he demands more oddball games involving such teams immediately. Preferably an entire week of Guest Panel games ONLY involving the Michigan directional schools.

1. Ohio State over Iowa - Which OSU team will show up, the one from the first half or the second half last week?
2. Arkansas over Mississippi State - This one won't be close.
3. Nebraska over Texas A&M - A&M is riding high right now but ready for a slide.
4. Oklahoma over Baylor - Baylor was a nice story, but they are still Baylor.
5. Michigan over Wisconsin - I need to make a move, so I'll go out on a limb with the upset pick here.
6. Wyoming over Colorado State

Spamsandwichsan says...

1. W: OSU - as long as we play some ‘second half football’ like we did against Penn State, we should be ok.
2. W: Arkansas - probably will be an upset that i didn’t pick for once. i guess that’s why they are called upsets, because i get upset when i pick them to win and they don’t!
3. W: Nebraska - would like to see them win, but A&M will be a touch match at night!
4. W: Oklahoma - see my comment above about upsets
5. W: Wisconsin - I would like to see Michig.... wait a minute... no matter how much it may help OSU, I would like to see Michigan LOOSE!!!
6. W: Colorado State - they could probably defeat the German’s in drinking games due to their high altitude training that involves drinking their mascot’s urine

Pat Head’s Picks: I’m takin’ a quick break while my Lady Vols are kicking the snot out of Chattanooga! But I just wanted to say, what a great time of year. We got basketball and football at the same time! God help me I love it so!

1. OSU over Iowa: Iowa will be hungry for a win after last week’s devastating loss to Northwestern. I think this will be a very close game, but OSU will pull out the win.

2. Arkansas over Mississippi St.: I’m not sure this one will be as close as predicted. The Hogs win big!

3. Nebraska over Texas A&M: I really haven’t watched either team this year, but I think the Cornhuskers should be able to pull off a win in Texas.

4. Oklahoma over Baylor: It’s Big 12 week! Too bad Baylor couldn’t end the streak for those fugly UCONN women, oh well, we’ll plan to beat the snot out of them come tournament time!

5. Wisconsin over Michigan: I’m not sure this will be an easy win for Wisconsin, but it’s hard for me to believe Michigan can pull out a win. I kinda hope I’m wrong though.

6. Wyoming over Colorado State: coin toss.
