Scouting the Rockets

Last Week
Toledo beat New Hampshire 58-22. At QB Austin Dantin threw for 161 yards, while Terrance Owens threw for 122 yards. Bernard Reedy led the team with 113 reception yards and two touchdown catches. Adonis Thomas had 115 yards rushing and one rushing touchdown. The Rockets had 304 passing yards and 287 rushing yards against New Hampshire. The defense forced five turnovers and limited New Hampshire to 180 passing yards and 152 rushing yards.

Offense

Junior Austin Dantin will take the majority of the snaps at QB. He has started 13 games and is 66% for 2377 yards, 14 touchdowns, and 12 interceptions.  Backup quarterback sophomore Terrance Owens played at Glenville High School (school of Troy Smith.) He led the team last year in November, after Austin Dantin was injured. Running back Adonis Thomas averaged 84.5 ruhing yards/game last year. At receiver are Bernard Reedy, Eric Page, Adonis Thomas, David Fluel-Len, and Kenny Stafford. Eric Page is the main receiver and will likely break the career receptions record at Toledo. Page will also be the kick returner, and he is one of the best in the country. RB Thomas will also catch some passes.

Defense
The Rockets D-Line is led by junior T.J. Fatinikun, who had 51 tackles last year including 13 tackles for loss. In the secondary, senior cornerback Desmond Marrow is playing his sixth season after missing two seasons for injuries. Last year he had 68 tackles and three interceptions. At linebacker is Dan Molls, who led the team last year with 143 tackles and three interceptions.
