Hudy - Since the season is lost, I am picking with my heart on this one.
1. Ohio State vs. Michigan - OSU
BTW it is Monday at 11:45AM and Michigan still sucks
2. Texas vs. Texas A&M (Thursday) - Texas AM
3. Pittsburgh vs. West Virginia (Friday)- West Virginia
4. Florida St. vs. Florida - Florida - The ACC should lose its AQ status.
5. Georgia vs. Georgia Tech - Georgia
6. Arkansas vs. LSU (Friday) - Arkansas - but it will be a hard game especially since Ark is dealing with the sudden death of a player.
7. Penn St. vs. Wisconsin - Penn State (I think Wisconsin will probably win but I am pulling for Penn State so that is my pick)
And the oddball game this week is:
8. UAB vs. FAU - FAU - because I have to pick one team.

MKH having blown a 3 point lead is ready to go 8-0! Given the less than satisfactory performance in the last two weeks the 'Take-the-Default' hypothesis is gaining credibility...
Ohio State v. Michigan - Win will go to those blue a**holes. Sad times indeed. If MKH were out of contention, pride would have got the better of him, but cold hard facts can't be ignored when it truly matters. As for the Urban myth's floating around out there let MKH be on record as saying there is a 100% chance of this happening...so let's get ready for the Meyer era.
Texas v. Texas A&M - Win Aggies. MKH shares Paul-the-O's sentiments regarding A&M pick-em games. They have proven to be one of the most inconsistent teams in history and nothing indicates this weekend should be any different. $100 says this one does NOT become a cold hard eight tentacled death-hold pick of the century of the week as selected by our fellow panelist.
Pittsburgh v. West Virginia - Win WVU. MKH's lovely wife is from the 'Burgh and when queried about this one sputtered on about the crumminess of Pitt football. Good thing...Vegas is tipping for the Mountaineers as well.
Florida St. v. Florida - Win Florida. This pick by a landslide was the hardest to make. Wouldn't be surprised at all to see the Seminoles put 40 on the Gators to prove MKH wrong.
Georgia v. Georgia Tech - Win Bulldogs. Recently MKH spent a few hours discussing the phenomenon that is college football in the US with an Aussie who had recently spent 8 sleepless days in Athens, GA on a whirlwind tour of the States. For this reason (and others) he has chosen the SEC in this rivalry.
Arkansas v. LSU - Win Tigers. Not quite sure why Arkansas is ranked as high as they are...considering natural selection through survival of the fittest tends to penalize inbred populations....but hey - they have navigated an SEC schedule and only lost to Alabama...so that ought to get Darwin off their razor-backs...right?
Penn St. v. Wisconsin - Win Badgers. Even without the goings-on at State College this is a game picked for Wisky 90% of the time. Side note - MKH will actually be in Madison attending a wedding during this time...his first steps in the US in almost a year!
UAB v. FAU - Win UAB. Coins tossed are at times just as effective as an hours worth of analysis - especially when it comes to oddball games.
Old Bag of Man is going all in.
1) Michigan. I hate to say it but I just don't see first down run, second down run, third down hope Miller can pull one out of his butt working this game. Uh Oh. No time for more comments, baby pooping.
2) Texas A&M.
3) WVU.
4) Florida St.
5) Georgia.
6) LSU
7) Wiconsin.
8) FAU.
Buckeye Cock:
It's hard to believe this is the last week of the regular season. Damn! Anyways, happy holidays to all. Great games this week. Here we go!!
1. Michigan - Oh Buckeyes, what an up and down season. "We could of had it all . . . " What we're going to get is a self imposed bowl ban. My how the tides have turned. Michigan wins considering Ohio State has lost their defense.
2. A&M - Is this the second year in a row Texas has sucked? Hmmmm.
3. WVU - Go Mountaineers!
4. FL State - They stunk this year too. Hmmm.
5. Georgia
6. LSU
7. Wisconsin
8. UAB?
Batman:
1. Michigan
2. Texas A&M
3. West Virginia
4. Florida State
5. Georgia
6. LSU
7. Wisconsin
8. UAB
I am going to use this week to guess and explain how moderator Neff chooses his slate of games to be picked.
First, always the Ohio State game.
Second, one or two more Big Ten games.
Third, interesting rivalry games chosen from the SEC or PAC 12.
Fourth, a favored road night team that has a really good chance of losing, for example Florida State this week.
An oddball is either North Texas, initialized teams, or a non-major conference or a directional team.
The two tough games this week are Florida State and Georgia. I picked FSU because I belive they will be angry after their loss to Virginia and I picked Georgia because they seem to be on a roll and they are from the SEC.
1. Michigan - it pains me say it.
2. A&M
3. West Virginia
4. Florida state
5. Georgia
6. LSU
7. Wisconsin
8. UAB
Spamsandwichsan says... looking forward to the bowl picks!
1. Ohio State over Michigan - if it came down to picking michigan over ohio state or loosing a vital organ, i would gladly give up my liver (it’s probably shot anyway). let’s bid fickel a farewell on a good note!
2. Texas A&M over Texas
3. West Virginia over Pittsburgh
4. Florida over Florida St.
5. Georgia over Georgia Tech
6. LSU over Arkansas - gonna be a close one
7. Wisconsin over Penn St. - wisconsin fans will probably have jerry sandusky masks on cause they are classy people
8. UAB over FAU
Philly Cheese
Ohio State
Texas
West Virginia
Florida St.
Georgia
LSU
Wisconsin
At this point in the season, it's like throwing darts while blindfolded. Who the h*ll knows, who the h*ll cares (well, other than the Hair and Batman). I'm fairly certain that no matter who I pick to win these games, I'm going to finish no better than 4-4.
Michigan def. Ohio State: It's a sad state of affairs in Buckeye land when the Bobcats of Ohio University are likely to play in a more prestigious bowl game than the Buckeyes. Yikes...but at least "Pope" Urban is coming to save the day. We luv ya Fickell, but, let's face it, you're in over your head. It was fun while it lasted.
Texas A&M def. Texas: Apparently the Moderator is illiterate, because he included a game involving Texas in the games for this week, either not reading or completely choosing to ignore my request from last week. Well, there goes any chance of me finishing the week undefeated. On the football analysis side of things, if there's such a thing as a "good loss" A&M has more than its fair share - 1 point loss to OK State, 4 point loss to Arkansas, and a 3 point loss to K State in triple OT.
West Virginia def. Pittsburgh: Gotta these college football rivalry game nicknames: the Backyard Brawl, Battle of the Bricks, THE Game, Bedlam, the Civil War, Bedlam, the Commonwealth Cup, etc. Billy Bob the coonskin cap wearin', full red beard brandishing, and rifle totin' Mountaineer mascot will be one happy drunken redneck at the end of this game.
Florida St. def. Florida: Remember when this game (along with FSU vs. Miami) used to be a huge, must-see national game? Also remember when Kriss Kross was makin' everybody "jump jump"? That's what I thought.
Georgia def. Georgia Tech: I give the Bulldogs a lot of credit for turning their season around after starting out 0-2. But, going 7-1 in the SEC isn't all that difficult when you don't have to play Alabama, LSU, or Arkansas, and Florida and Auburn are having down seasons. But the SEC is always far superior to the ACC, so based on that fact alone, the Bulldogs take the sting out of the Yellow Jackets.
LSU def. Arkansas: I said it a few weeks ago, and I'm not going to go back on my word now. That lucky hillbilly grass eatin' sonuvab**ch doesn't lose.
Wisconsin def. Penn State: If not for two last second miracle TD passes, Wisconsin would likely be undefeated and two games away from playing for the national title. Luckily for the Badgers, the Nittanys have no passing game to speak of. For the gambling degenerates, mark this game down as the Paul the Octopus 8 Tentacle Death-Hold Pick of the Week #13 (9-3 record in such games so far; going with the Badgers for this pick two weeks straight; let's hope it doesn't come back to bite me in the a**).
UAB def. FAU: By default, I think we have to pick the team that actually has a few wins on its resume at this late point in the season (as opposed to the team that's 0 and friggin' 10).
Pat Head’s Picks:
“We don’t give a damn about the whole school of Vanderbilt, we’re from Tennessee!” Hey no one said we were creative! As we are heading to Mansfield in a few short minutes, I have to be brief in my picks/comments.
1. Ohio State over Michigan: Can’t believe Michigan beat Nebraska last week. They are so hot and cold. Hopefully they are frigid this week.
2. Texas A&M over the other UT.
3. West Virginia over Pitt: No one wants to win the Big East this year.
4. Florida over FSU: Rooting for a fellow SEC team.
5. Georgia over Georgia Tech: ditto w/ No. 4 pick.
6. Arkansas over LSU: Perhaps this is not a smart pick as I am so close to the lead, but Arkansas has a real good chance of making the BCS championship race even more interesting.
7. Wisconsin over PSU: Last week PSU had the emotion behind them w/ Joe Pa’s cancer announcement, this week, they are going to come up short to Wisconsin.
8. UAB over FAU: 3 wins are better than 0 right?
5:00 on Wednesday deadline? What are you doing--going out of town Thursday or something???
1) Michigan over Ohio State. You'd think OSU would play relaxed in a nothing-to-lose situation, but a) they're spent since the Wisky win, b) they have players with very little gumption, and c) the Wolves are smelling blood. 35-10, and prepare for the Meyer as new coach announcement Tuesday...
Texas A&M over Texas. Horns may hook 'em, but can't score 'em
West Virginia over Pitt. Big East. Any idea who's winning this thing? Anyone care???
Florida over Florida State. Never go against the SEC in a non-conference game.
Georgia over Georgia Tech. Never go against the SEC in a non-conference game.
LSU over the Hogs. Play this at one of Arkansas' umpteen home stadiums, and maybe they have a shot. LSU sniffing another national title won't screw that up like all those teams last week did.
Wisconsin over Penn State. Should I be wrong, however, that frees up the afternoon of the inaugural Big Ten Championship game for me. I've watched PSU play four times this year, and I've averaged 54.3 minutes nap time during their games.
UAB over FAU. One of my old students was passed over by FAU for a scholarship to play QB for them, four years ago. Judging by their season thus far, I think this young man is enjoying the last, hearty, laugh
