Guest Panel-Week 7 Games and Standings

Here are the games for the Guest Panel to consider this week. Below are the standings as well. It was a crazy weekend of college football and the Guest Panel struggled as a result. Funtik is still holding a two game lead, but Corso has been joined at second by Hudy and Philly Cheese who both had 3-3 records. Cliff Diving Raoul was the only panelist to have four correct predictions and he was rewarded by moving from tenth to a tie for fifth. This week the panel is picking all oddball games.

Standings:
1. Funtik the Hog (24-12) (2-4 last week)
2. Corso (22-14) (2-4 last week)
2. Hudy (22-14) (3-3 last week)
2. Philly Cheese (22-14) (3-3 last week)
5. W.T. (20-16) (1-5 last week)

11. Mel Kiper's Hair (18-18) (3-3 last week)
12. Ice Bucket (16-20) (1-5 last week)

Hawaii - Wyoming been out scored 104-28 in road games this season. (To MSU and Oregon...)
Kent State - Kent read, Kent write, Kent break the nations longest losing streak
Tulane - Too much Southern speed.
UTEP - ODU has been on Fox Sports Network last three weeks, but now that I have an interest in their game outcome, do ya think they're going to televise it?? Nooooooooo..
Penn State - At least Penn State still sells out amidst adversity...

  9. Who would have thought that the epicenter of the college football world would be Mississippi halfway through the season?!?! An ugly week for the Guest Panel all around, including everyone's favorite hog. And now, to make matters worse, the Moderator has decided to make this week the all oddball game week. Just digging the knife in deeper and deeper aren't ya, Mr. Moderator?!?! Ugggghhhh...onto this week's picks...

Western Michigan def. Ball State: Of course the Moderator picks a game involving a Michigan directional team. Did the birds sing and the sun shine as well today? I think he'd be quite upset with me if I picked the non-Michigan directional team, so to stay on his good side, the Broncos it is.

Hawaii def. Wyoming: A pretty difficult game to pick; Wyoming has the superior record to Hawaii, but the game is in the Aloha State (even from Wyoming, that's not an easy trip), and the 'Bows have played some very good teams (Washington and Oregon State), pretty tough. Going with the 'Bows over the Pokes in a 3 point game.

Massachusetts def. Kent State: Is it a prerequisite of an oddball game that both teams are terrible? At this point, who gives a hog s**t. Going with the Minutemen because they've actually come closer to getting a win this season, and according the ESPN Conversation comments, UMass has a "great" QB. Right...

Tulane def. Connecticut: Didn't UConn make it to a BCS bowl game a few seasons ago? Well, at least they have the basketball program.

Old Dominion def. UTEP: This pick falls strictly in the "yea sure, why not?" category.

Penn State def. Michigan: So the Moderator has a sense of humor after all. It is comical, but also to the point of being (almost) sad, the present state of the University of Michigan football program. The key word being almost. Pencil this game in (and make sure the pencil has a full eraser head on it) as Funtik the Hog's Clairvoyant Snout Bucket Rummage Pick of the Week #7 (2-4 record in such games thus far...amazingly, Funtik has a comfortable lead in the Guest Panel standings halfway through the season, but yet, his Clairvoyant Snout Bucket Rummage picks have been beyond horrendous. Good with the bad, I suppose).
