OSU Last Week

Ohio State defeated Minnesota with a final score of 31-24. The Buckeyes scored the first two touchdowns with two big plays, a 86 touchdown run by J.T. Barrett and a 57-yard touchdown reception by Jalin Marshall.  Minnesota responded back with two touchdown runs in the second quarter. Ohio State closed out the first half with a field goal to take a 17-14 lead. The first half included an interception by Barrett. Ohio State finally started to separate with two touchdown passes in the third and fourth quarter to Michael Thomas and Evan Spencer. Unfortunately Minnesota was not done as it completed a touchdown pass halfway through the fourth quarter and kicked a field goal late in the game. Minnesota was unsuccessful in recovering the onside kick and Ohio State ran out the final minute of the game. Special teams struggled with two fumbles which lead to two of Minnesota's three touchdowns. Barrett had a big game with 200 passing yards and a record 189 rushing yards.
