College Football Playoff
Oregon and Florida State will play on January 1 at 4:30 PM in the Rose Bowl, which is the first semifinal in the playoff. Ohio State and Alabama will play at 8:30 PM in the Sugar Bowl. The Championship game will occur on January 12 at Reliant Stadium (Jerry World) in Arlington, Texas.
Sugar Bowl
This is the 81st Sugar Bowl Classic, with Alabama making its 15th appearance, most recently the 2014 game against Oklahoma. This will be Ohio State's fifth appearance and the official record is 1-2 with the 2010 victory over Arkansas vacated. Ohio State lost to LSU in the BCS national championship which also occurred in the Superdome in 2007.
