1. OSU vs. Northwestern
W-OSU: Beanie rushes for over 150 yards and 3 TD's and begins to have some serious consideration on the Heisman watch list.

2. Iowa State vs. Toledo
W-Iowa State: Toledo is really bad...not Notre Dame bad, however.

3. San Jose State vs. Utah State
W-San Jose State

4. Temple vs. Bowling Green
W-BGSU: Random football fact- If a team has a color in it's name (Green in this example) they must wear jockstraps of the same color or else they, by default, lose the opening coin toss.

5. Georgia vs. Alabama
W-Alabama: Bam Bam!

OSU def. Northwestern - There is all kinds of Big Ten trash talk going on down here in the south. I think they're just jealous there's no SEC network, and that the ACC is really the terrible conference.

Toledo def. Iowa State - Being correct is not nearly as important as being the first to post their picks.

San Jose State def. Utah State - San Jose played the Buckeyes a few years back so that experience will probably propel them to victory.

Bowling Green def. Temple - You can't go wrong picking against Temple, unless they're playing Duke.

Georgia def. Alabama - Battle of the overrated SEC teams. Two of them anyway.

Batman:

1. OSU
2. Iowa State
3. Utah State
4. Bowling Green
5. Alabama

Basically I can't add much commentary to my picks of Iowa State, Utah State or Bowling Green.

But let's talk OSU vs. NW. Duke beat NW - a real positive for Duke but this works against OSU because it's downright embarassing losing to Duke in Football. NW will come ready. It doesn't seem long ago when NW beat OSU.

I am a big fan of Saban. I am going to ride the Alabama wagon after the awesome game last week vs. Arkansas.

Penn State vs Michigan will be a fantastic game.

Wish me luck this week as I will be competing in the Richland County Golf Tournament. Last year I got 49th place out of 50. So I am looking to improve!

OSU: Northwestern lost to Duke! That's all folks!
Iowa State: I'm going with the team with the senior kicker, oh and with the win.
Utah State: Utah State did slightly better in its 3 losses, plus one of its losses was to a ranked team.
BGSU: Although neither BG nor MSU looked good last week, BG atleast has a win and they were competitive against the Big 10.
Georgia: Although I think Alabama will be a force in the SEC in the upcoming years, I don't think they are ready for it yet. UGA will redeem themselves after the loss to the ol' ball coach.

Dr. Funkenstein says:

1. Ohio State over Northwestern - Michigan losing to Appalachian State was embarassing, but the Mountaineers would wipe the floor with Duke, who just beat NU to get off the schneid last week. Couple that with the Bucks' breakout performance last week, and this game should be over before halftime.

2. Iowa State over Toledo - Yawn.

3. Utah State over San Jose State - Double yawn.

4. Bowling Green over Temple - BG is 1-1 against the Big Ten this year, which hopefully isn't just the top flight of the MAC. Temple should just fold their football program.

5. Alabama over Georgia - The Tide are doing some nice things under Saban. Someone is going to trip them up, but now UGA.

Man Getting Hit by Football Proclaims:

OSU def. Northwestern: Northwestern lost to Duke (in football mind you, not basketball. NOT basketball) last weekend. I rest my case.

Iowa State def. Toledo: Must be a REALLY boring week in college football if this is the second game that the Guest Panel is asked to predict.

Utah State def. SJ State: Stat of the week: through 3 games, the leading rusher for SJ State has 40 yards. 40 friggin' yards. That's an average of 13.33 yards/game. I think my sleeping overweight 10 year old cat could probably do better than that.

BGSU def. Temple: I must admit, when I woke up on Sunday morning, I can honestly say that I had thoughts of a Falcons-Owls matchup for the ages dancing in the head. Not to mention a Falcon would kick an Owl's a** any day of the week. Not even a fair fight. Maybe we could give the Owl a pair of nunchuks or something?

Alabama def. Georgia: Am I ready to jump on the Saban bandwagon yet? No, not quite yet. But I do think that the Crimson Tide can beat an overrated and underwhelming Bulldogs team at home.

1. osu - i don't think they will get the 20+ point spread (who comes up with these numbers after the last 3 games??), but i do believe tressel has prepared them not to flop like the team up north when they are favored.

2. iowa state - it's more of a hatred for toledo, plus dustin went to toledo for a few years and that place is dirty... stinking up the lake with their maumee shit. i will have none of that.

3. utah st - any religion that declares 'in order to rise into the highest level of heaven, you must practice polygamy' has my vote, and we know who lives in utah??? (i do believe that was some stereotyping!). plus trey parker was a wicked mormon porn star in orgazmo!

4. bg - i lost my v-card on a road trip to bg in highschool, so i gotta send back some love to my sexual roots!

5. alabama - they seem to be back in the business ethics of playing some football, especially at home... even if it's just shitty sec football.
