OLD BAG OF MAN IS HERE TO SAY:
1) OSU. THE ONLY THING MORE HATED THAN U OF MINN IS FAVRE.
2) IOWA. BECAUSE WE NEED IT, SPARTY CAN'T BE THIS LUCKY AGAIN, AND IOWA NEEDS TO GET THE BAD TASTE OF CLOCK MGMNT OUT OF THEIR MOUTH.
3) OREGON. IT MAY BE CLOSE BUT USC DOESN'T HAVE A DEFENSE TO KEEP UP.
4) NEBRASKA. NOT A BELIEVER IN MIZZOU.
5) FLORIDA. BATTLE OF THE ONCE GREAT BUT NOW BAD SEC TEAMS.
6) WKY. GO HILLTOPPERS AND THAT CRAZY RED ROUND MASCOT.
1. OSU
2. MSU
3. Oregon
4. Nebraska
5. Georgia
6. N. Texas

1. OSU
2. IOWA
3. ORE
4. NEB
5. FLA
6. WK
Spamsandwichsan says... this week is either gonna be good with my upset picks or very destructive to my poll status!!
1. W: OSU - Did you know in Minnesota, it's illegal to tease skunks??
2. W: Iowa - time for State to begin the traditional mid-October slide...
3. W: USC - both teams stink in my mind, but I would love to see SC take the trophy (and run up the score).
4. W: Nebraska - I like all of the comments about ‘Nebraska will be playing with motivation this week since it is the last time they will face team X on a regular basis’... yeah, we know, I’m sure they will miss playing Kansas, Iowa State and Colorado in exchange for OSU, Wisconsin and Iowa next year!
5. W: Georgia - could this be the oddball game by mistake?
6. W: WKU - will The Beverly Hillbillies be honored in the half time show?
1.Ohio State over Minnesota - I will be in attendance and expect the Buckeyes to lock it up in their first visit to the new stadium.
2. Iowa over Michigan State - Sparty has a nice team this year, but Kinnick is a bit different than Ryan Field.
3. USC over Oregon - Oregon is a very good team, but they're catching the Trojans as they are getting it together.
4. Nebraska over Missouri - This looks like a letdown game for Missouri, not to mention that Nebraska is very good.
5. Florida over Georgia - Both teams are kind of sputtering this season. Everyone will get drunk and have a good time anyway.
6. Western Kentucky over North Texas - Whatever.
Philly Cheese
1. OSU
2. Michigan St.
3. Oregon
4. Missouri
5. Florida
6. Western Kentucky
OSU defeats Minnesota – Our secondary is going to be tested this week especially with the injuries we have. Despite all this we should handily beat the worst team in the B-10 and be home before the night games commence.
Iowa beats Michigan State – In the rather unrealistic and convoluted scenario in which we go to the national championship game by riding the coattails of others…this is a first step must win down that path. So with that said… Ricki Stanzi for president!!
USC upends Oregon – Ducks have the 2nd easiest schedule in the FBS this year…here’s to them losing to a mediocre Trojan team who will throw all they’ve got at them. (Game 2 of OSU championship importance)
Missouri smacks Nebraska – Is Missouri for real? Me-thinks quite possibly. IMO their two finest wins thus-far have been the obvious defeat of Oklahoma (did you ever think Stoops would punt on 4th down with 2 minutes to go and down by 2 scores?) and Illinois (who is probably the best they’ve been in 5 years) . Watch out for the Nebraska QB next year Buckeye Fans…he’s the real deal.
Florida chomps Georgia – Supporters of both teams have a reason to imbibe at the world’s largest cocktail party this year. Both are in the midst of fairly crappy seasons and a rivalry win could make or break either team. Look for the post-Tebow Gators to sneak one out and stop their three game losing streak.
Western Kentucky tops North Texas – As the Common Man would say (on 97.1) – “take it to the BANK!”
Pat Head's Picks
1. OSU over Minnesota
2. Iowa over MSU - I'm torn over this one. I like the Spartans, but I'm not sure they can pull off this win, especially since they are playing at Iowa.
3. Oregon over USC - Wouldn't it be fun to see another Number 1 team lose this week? If only Oregon was playing another team, then I could maybe pull for the underdog. But since they are playing Kiffin, I'm rooting for Oregon! Next week, I'll root for Washington.
4. Nebraska over Missouri - I liked Missouri's defense last week, but they won't be able to pull off another big win in the Big 12.
5. Florida over Georgia - I don't believe Georgia is as good as they looked against us. We are just that bad.
6. Western Kentucky over North Texas - Go Hilltoppers!

Carl's Stone Cold Lead Pipe Locks of the Century (of the Week #9):
Carl gains negligible ground on the rest of the Guest Panelists last week with a solid 5-1 record...at this point in the Guest Panel regular season, I think I'm shooting for, at best, a top 3 finish. That's what I get for going with the Las Vegas oddmakers and not venturing out on my own...anyways, onto the picks.
OSU def. Minnesota: Minnesota hasn't defeated OSU since the Clinton administration. Minnesota fired its apparent savior of a head coach in the middle of the season. 'Nuff said.
Iowa def. Michigan State: Wow...it's crazy how the Spartans are getting no love from the oddmakers. And they're not getting any love from this stud muffin either (yes, Carl is well aware that he's picked against MSU on a few occasions this season and lost...call me crazy, but I think they're due). Prepare for the rest of the Big Ten regular season to be a cluster f**k.
Oregon def. USC: The over/under on this game is 70. Wow. As much as Carl would like to see the overrated neon-clad Ducks lose, he doesn't see it happening here.
Missouri def. Nebraska: I guess we have to start believing in Mizzou now, eh? For whatever reason, Nebraska can't win (or, vs. FBS opponents, barely win) at home, so...I guess this all translates to Nebraska winning the Big Ten next season (don't ask how, but it makes perfect sense to me).
Georgia def. Florida: World's Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party?!?! Carl is there, in full force (and most likely shirtless)!!! Bartender, make it an Alabama Slammer, stat!!!
Western Kentucky def. North Texas: First, congrats to Mr. Moderator for getting the name of the team/university correct this week. The entire North Texas university community thanks you. Second, this game pits two of the better team nicknames in the NCAA: the Hilltoppers and the Mean Green. Does it get much better than that?!?! Third, congrats to the Hilltoppers on their first win of the season last week. Fourth, Western Kentucky wins again this week.
