What to Expect

Taylor Martinez has improved his passing game, and he can still run the ball. The team has averaged over 250 rushing yards in all five games with 385 yards against Idaho State. Ohio State will have some trouble containing the run the entire game, so Nebraska may get 275 yards rushing. Ohio State will limit Martinez in passing with 175 yards. Like last season, Nebraska enters the Ohio State game with a defense that has not earned the "Blackshirts" nickname. UCLA moved the ball easily against Nebraska with 309 passing yards and 344 rushing yards. The defense also gave up 185 rushing yards to Southern Miss. The defense did control Wisconsin last week, especially in the second half. The Badgers only had 56 rushing yards in the entire game. Ohio State will get 300 rushing yards and 250 passing yards. Ohio State will win 31-28.
