OLD BAG OF MAN LIVE FROM WALMART:
1) OSU. PLEASE CALL US "OHIO". OR SHOULD WE CALL YOU OUR NEXT VICTIM.
2) OKLAHOMA. UC MIGHT NEED SOME BENGALS TO HELP THEM IN THIS GAME.
3) GT. I THINK THE NEW TRIPLE OPTION OFFENSE WILL CONFUSE BC.
4) BGSU. THE FALCONS ARE PLAYING GIANT KILLERS. I GUESS MINNESOTA IS A GIANT.
5) ALCORN ST. ARE THE BANDS GOING TO PLAY TO?

Pat Head's Picks:

1. Ohio State over OU: I'd say this'el be similar to last week's blow out.

2. Oklahoma over UC: I think it could be close, but the Sooners will be too good for UC in the end.

3. Georgia Tech over BC: I know GT is a young team, but I think they could pull off an upset in Boston.

4. Bowling Green over Minnesota: BG has the edge at home. They'll be coming off their win over number 25 Pitt and won't be afraid of their Big 10 opponent.

And the oddball game this week is:

5. Alcorn St. over Grambling State: Wow! I honestly couldn't tell ya who the heck either of these teams are. From what I could find out, both schools are closed this week due to Hurricane Gustav, so both teams are probably distracted. So, I'm going with the team that scored the most points last week.

1. Ohio State over Ohio - even if the 'beanie baby' doesn't play, i'm sure OSU will not have a problem. i think they will save wells for a triumphant return during the SC game... in the style of the waterboy's 2nd half game saver performance... minus showing up on a swamp boat in the endzone.

2. Cincinnati over Oklahoma - i'm pulling for the natty in this upset game. both teams have a tried and proven offense style, so it will be a matter of who scores first. plus, i want a top ranked team (besides OSU!) to loose to see how tough the polls are on an early season loss.

3. Georgia Tech over Boston College - everyone already knows my history with boston (look at the last few years pick history). the only good thing in the entire state of massachusetts is the sub shop chain called D'Angelos.

4. Minnesota over Bowling Green - the last time i was in bowling green, i got drunk in a heart shaped hot tub with a bunch of high schoolers... it was a high school swim trip... i definitely got so freakin... suspended... after getting busted... those were the daaaayyyyyssss!!

5. Grambling State over Alcorn St. - i think i have sided with alcorn state in previous years, but i can't remember if that was a good decision or not. either way, grambling sounds like the act of shimmying down the 3rd floor spouting while trying to escape from a crazy one night stand with a short north bartender from the Full Monty... and who can't relate to that!

Buckeye Cock says:

1. Ohio State - Ah, yes! The Tressel master plan seems to be working. Guess what USC? Beanie is not really injured. Let's see how that works into your extra week to prep. Oh yeah, we beat Ohio too.

2. Oklahoma - Simple and easy. Look for the Bearcats to make a run in the Big East though.

3. BC - This is a tricky one. It's so early, who knows what could happen. BC pulls it off even though the Kent State game didn't look good at all.

4. Bowling Green - Do Falcons actually eat Gophers? They will on Saturday.

5. Alcorn State - Don't call it an upset.

Batman

What an abomination for the first week. As an old coach used to tell me: The NCC isn't won or lost on the first weekend. I hope this season goes better than the first week. Tennessee just didn't have it. Alabama is obviously better than people thought.

I am picking: OSU, Oklahoma, BC, BGSU and Grambling.

These all represent home teams. The only commentary I can contribute is that I think Minnesota is very weak.

Tressel gets the bonehead coach of the week award for putting in the starting running back after being up by so much. I feel for this reason alone he is unworthy of a raise and should donate it to charity.

Hudy Delights Week 2 Picks

Ohio State Defeats Ohio. - Everyone knows that they do not play real football in the MAC.

Cincinnati with the upset over Oklahoma - Oklahoma does not have any Elder alums to carry it to victory.

Georgia Tech over Boston College. - BC looked pretty anemic last week breaking in their new QB.

Minnesota over BGSU - BGSU already had their big non-conference upset this season plus Minnesota is rebuilding(if you can call it that)

Alcorn over Grambling - only because I am a fan of Steve McNair

1. Ohio State over Ohio - The Buckeyes still owe me 3 takeaways from last week, but they're still going to make OU look like Wolverines in the Rose Bowl.

2. Oklahoma over Cincinnati - Cincinnati's not going to lay down for Oklahoma, but I don't think they have quite enough to pull the upset. On a side note, a recent study revealed that 22% of the players at U of M think that Oklahoma is a vegetable.

3. Georgia Tech over Boston College - Two coaches went from high-powered gimmicky offenses to new programs without their kind of personnel in the offseason: Rich Rodriguez and Paul Johnson. Johnson was smart enough to adjust his system so he could still be effective. Rodriguez sucks.

4. Bowling Green over Minnesota - I don't care that the Gophers beat Northern Illinois last week by 4. Until further notice, I am still not picking Minnesota to beat anyone. That may change in time for the Little Brown Jug game with m*ch*g@n, though.

5. Alcorn St. over Grambling State - What do Grambling State and m*ch*g@n have in common? They both lost to a 1-AA team last year.

Nostrapigskinus Says:

Ohio State def. Ohio: I spent a night in Athens at Ohio U. once. I gave my fake ID to a female acquitance, and I haven't seen it since. And that's all I'm going to say about that.

Oklahoma def. Cincinnati: I've only been to Cincinnati three times, and I have yet to visit The Montgomery Inn or Skyline Chili while there. FOR SHAME!!!!!

Georgia Tech def. Boston College: BC, Matt Ryan ain't coming back. Be prepared for a LONG season of mediocrity, even in the even more mediocre ACC.

Bowling Green def. Minnesota: Minnesota still has a football team?! Who knew?!?!

Alcorn St. def. Grambling State: Like Matt Ryan at BC, Steve McNair is not coming back to Alcorn State. By the way, where did they ever get the name "Alcorn State?" Can someone do some research and get back to me on this?

Based on the process of elimination, the last picks are from Team Big Dog.
