1. Oregon St. vs. Oregon
W-Oregon: Total points = 45. I guess I don't really need to give my total points guess since I have no shot whatsoever of jumping to 1st place.
2. Cincinnati vs. Pittsburgh
W-UC: As much as I hate to say it, I'm loving UC's climb to the top of the polls.
3. Florida vs. Alabama
W-Florida: I'd love it if both teams could somehow lose.
4. Texas vs. Nebraska
W-Texas:
5. Georgia Tech vs. Clemson
W-Clemson:
6. Arkansas St. vs. W. Kentucky
W-Arkansas St:
Shout out to my homeboy Joe Neff for hosting this hell of a good time party. Shout out to my JPM Harry Chance for getting jumped by a sandwich. Shout out to Patrick Headford for posing some good competition. It's time for the regular season Cock Drop.
Buckeye Cock:
1. Oregon - No surprise here, folks. It will be the Ducks vs. the Bucks in the Rose Bowl. (61 points)
2. Cincinnati - Both defenses are not good. The edge goes to the Cincy O for being able to put up enough points.
3. Florida - Again, no surprises. The Gators are more superior on both sides of the ball.
4. Texas - The national championship is set and Texas will be walking to their doom.
5. GA Tech - This is a tricky one. Spiller can be contained and if the bees can do that then they should buzz to a BCS.
6. Arkansas State - Both teams need a cock drop.
Old Bag of Man proclaims:
1) Oregon wins. I'm rooting for Oregon State but I think Oregon's offense along with Blount's ability to fight will be too much. Total points = 69 (hehehe)
2) UC wins. The real Pittsburgh showed up this past weekend.
3) Florida wins...unfortunately. Can they both lose? Can Tebow just dissapear and never be heard about again?
4) Texas wins. Big 12 = joke.
5) Georgia Tech wins. A championship game between 2 teams who both lost last weekend. Nice job ACC.
6) Hilltoppers win. Because they have a great name and mascot.
1. Oregon
2. Pittsburgh
3. Alabama
4. Texas
5. Georgia Tech
6. Western Kentucky
Philly Cheese
Oregon 48 total
Cincinnati
Alabama
Texas
Georgia Tech
W. Kentucky
Batman
1. Oregon 61.5
2. Cincinnati
3. Florida
4. Texas
5. Georgia Tech
And the oddball game this week is:
6. Arkansas St.
It is going to take a miracle to jump 2 games.
But this season has been challenging and fun. Thanks Joe for all your hard work and insights. This is probably the site I hit up most during the fall season.
Is it just me or has Ark St been a game we've had to pick multiple times? Same with N. Texas? Anyone have connections at these institutions? It seems like these are 3rd in the ranking behind OSU and Michigan directionals.
Congrats to the winner of the contest, your picks were clearly superior. I was impressed.
Any conjectures what the full Tiger Woods story is?
Professor BadAss Writes in His Memoirs:
WOW! What an exciting, interesting, and entertaining Guest Panel season 2009! It's been a lot of fun picking games this season, and comparing notes and thoughts with some of the Professor's academic (and non-academic) colleagues. Again, major kudos to B.C. (Before Cock) for again coming up HUGE with his picks last week. It'll make for an exciting final week.
Oregon def. Oregon State: Mix one part Oregon Ducks, one part Autzen Stadium, one part weekday night game, a pinch of Jeremiah Masoli, and a dash of national TV audience, bake for 3 1/2 hours, and you have a Oregon State loss.
Cincinnati def. Pittsburgh: I'm drinking whatever Kool-Aid Brian Kelly is brewing up there in the 'Nati. Should Texas falter vs. Nebraska, I think that the Bearcats (what the heck is a Bearcat anyways?!?! Esteemed Guest Panel Moderator, you're from near Cincinnati, hop onto the ol' Wikipedia and enlighten us), would give the Florida-Alabama winner a much better game than the Horned Frogs of TCU.
Florida def. Alabama: If I'm drinking the Brian Kelly Kool-Aid, I'm drowning in the Tim Tebow Kool-Aid. Carlos Dunlap or no Carlos Dunlap, Florida wins again and moves onto the national title game, where they'll be facing off against...
Texas def. Nebraska: My man crush Colt McCoy runs and passes for a combined 1125 yards in this game. Or at least it will seem like it.
Georgia Tech def. Clemson: This game lost some luster last week, eh? I guess it is true what the commentators say, the SEC is the best college football conference. Going with the slight underdog here based on their victory in early September.
Arkansas St. def. W. Kentucky: My apologies to the devoted readers and fans (you know who you are!) of the Professor's weekly picks and commentary. I can't write witty, insightful, take it to the bank commentary and analysis for each and every each week. Taking the points in this one.
Oregon over Oregon State - Our Rose bowl oppents await.
Pittsburgh over Cinci - Gotta get the upset right this week...had WVU right now it's time for the Panthers to finish off the season with a bang!
Alabama over Florida - Tebow finishs his regular season collegiate career with a tragic close home loss to the Tide!!
Texas over Nebraska - Not even close. Texas by 3 touchdowns.
Georgia Tech over Clemson - This one lost its luster after last week. Sort of a yawner IMO.
Arkansas St. over Western Kentucky - This is the type of game we use the oddsmakers for.
Spamsandwichsan says...
1. Oregon over Oregon St. (59 points total)
2. Pittsburgh over Cincinnati
3. Florida over Alabama
4. Texas over Nebraska
5. Clemson over Georgia Tech
And the oddball game this week is:
6. Arkansas St. over W. Kentucky
Pat Head's Picks:
I hate West By God Virginia!
1. Oregon over Oregon State - I'm not confident in this pick. Oregon wins by a touchdown, total score 77.
2. Cincinnati over Pittsburgh - UC will win and then get creamed in a BCS game and lose their coach. Poor UC!
3. Florida over Alabama - I hate this, but I guess I shouldn't pick against Pastor Tebow.
4. Texas over Nebraska - Texas' road to the Rose Bowl will not be obstructed by the Cornhuskers.
5. Georgia Tech over Clemson - Did I correctly hear that FSU may get to go to a better bowl b/c it will be Bobby Bowden's last season??? Such bullshit!
6. Arkansas St. over W. Kentucky - the Hilltoppers will continue their incredible perfect (0-12) season.
The BIG DOG needs a sweep to be in the top half of the pickins'!
