Scouting the Hoosiers

This Season
Indiana is 2-3 with wins in the first two games against Indiana State (24-17) and UMass (45-6). After losing quarterback Tre Roberson, the team has lost its last three games against Ball State (39-41), Northwestern (29-44), and Michigan State (27-31). The Hoosiers average 167 rushing yards/game and 304 passing yards/game.

Offense
Indiana lost its starting quarterback Tre Roberson with a broken leg in the second game of the season. The offense is now led by two quarterbacks, Cam Coffman and Nate Sudfeld. Coffman has been the starter for the last three games, while Sudfeld has seen minutes in two of those games. It is not clear if Indiana will stick with Coffman, a junior college transfer, as the starter this week, in light of the three losses. Neither Coffman nor Sudfeld has the running ability of Roberson and both have not rushed for over 20 yards in any of the last three games. Coffman is 67% for 801 yards and six touchdowns. At running back is Stephen Houston who has 277 rushing yards this season, and he will also catch the ball. At receiver are Shane Wynn, Kofi Hughes, and Cody Latimer. Latimer is 4th in the Big Ten with 363 receiving yards. Receiver Nick Stoner also returns punts, and he is an All-American in the 4x400 relay. The O-Line is not very experienced, with two true freshman at left tackle and right guard.

Defense
The D-Line has two experienced seniors with Larry Black and Adam Replogle. Replogle leads the team with 149 tackles. All three linebackers enrolled last spring as transfers, two from junior college. At cornerback is a converted safety, Kenny Mullen, and first year starter Brian Williams.
