Some Updates and News

The linebacker picture is starting to become clear. Unfortunately, Mike D'Andrea, a fifth year senior, may not play again for OSU. He came to OSU as one of the most highly rated linebackers in the country. He played 12 games as a true freshman on the 2002 Championship team, but he has only played in 17 games in the past three seasons due to injury. His shoulder and knee injuries have limited his playing time. It appears freshman Tyler Moeller will be the backup for John Kerr at Will (weakside position.)

I still have not heard what TE Marcel Frost did to get suspended, but he has been seen practicing with Jackson State. You may remember Erik Haw already transferred to that team. Players transferring to a Div I-AA can play immediately, instead of sitting out a year at a larger Div I-A school.

I have more details on the autograph session taking place before the practice Monday at Ohio Stadium. The players will be in alphabetical order around the concourse level, but the more popular names such as Smith, Ginn, Pittman, Pitcock, Patterson, Gonzalez, as well as Coach Tressel will be separate due to longer lines. The event is free, and I found out that parking is free. I imagine there will be signs directing people out to West Campus and the lots near the Schott. I have not heard if there will be a bus service from the lots. They anticipate at least 30,000 fans, but that number could increase if the event is advertised well and there is good weather.
