What Happened to my Penn State Ticket?
Since I graduated, I have bought tickets each year and I started the process of becoming a life member of the OSU Alumni Association. Yes, I want to support my school, but I also knew that over time my status would increase and perhaps I would get decent tickets to a football game. I was willing to deal with the occasional mid-major conference game, knowing that someday I would get a great ticket. This year I got Penn State, alright my luck had turned! Well, that soon changed when I received a letter from the OSU Athletic Ticket Office telling me my game had been changed to Northern Illinois. Yes I think the Huskies from the fair city of DeKalb, Illinois are one of the better teams in the MAC, and it is the home/season opener, but what happened to my Penn State ticket? Well I didn't feel so bad after reading this article in today's dispatch. Evidently they are moving some people from Penn State that have less than 15 consecutive years of buying alumni tickets. There are three lessons to learn from this, don't miss a year buying tickets or turn in your application late, neither of which is my situation, and your ticket status, like wine, only gets better with age.....
