Series History
These two college football giants have only met once, and that was last year. OSU lost in a tight game 25-22. Check my blog entry for a detailed recap of that game. Ohio State is 27-4-1 against teams from the Big 12, having lost to Missouri, Colorado, Oklahoma and Texas along with a tie against Missouri. OSU has only played in the Longhorn state three times, in 1976 against SMU in the Cotton Bowl, 1987 against Texas A&M in the Cotton Bowl and 2004 against Oklahoma State in the Alamo Bowl.

Coaches
With the victory last week, coach Jim Tressel in his sixth season at OSU, has a record of 51-13 and his career record is 186-70-2 in 20 seasons of coaching.

Coach Mack Brown is graduate of Florida State. In his 9th year at Texas he is 84-19. In the last ten years (including time at North Carolina) he is the NCAA's winningest coach with a 104-22, 82% winning record. He is the only active coach to have won at least nine games in each of the past 10 seasons.
