This will be the fourth meeting between Bowling Green and Ohio State, with OSU having won the first three games in 1992 (17-6) ,1997 (44-13) and a close one in 2003 (24-17.) This is the second time OSU has played a MAC team this season, having beat Northern Illinois 35-12 in the season opener. OSU is 21-1 against MAC teams.

 

Coaches

Jim Tressel is 55-13 (81%) in his sixth season at Ohio State. In his 21 seasons as a head coach he is 73%. He is 1-0 versus BGSU while at OSU and 1-1 while at Youngstown State.

 

Coach Greg Brandon is 29-13 in his fifth season as head coach of the Falcons. He was assistant coach to Urban Meyer and took the head position when Meyer left for Utah, in 2002. Under Brandon's watch BG won back-to-back bowl wins, the Motor City Bowl in 2003 and the GMAC Bowl in 2004. Last season, the Falcons shared the MAC East title. He is 0-1 against Ohio State.
