Turf to Be Replaced...Again
I have put up a few posts regarding the grass inside Ohio Stadium. The Athletic department has determined that they will re-sod the field yet again this season, so that it is ready in time for "The Game." For those keeping track at home, this will be the third turf this season. Unlike the last batch from Bowling Green, this one is from closer to Columbus, East Side Nursery near Groveport. The cost is estimated to be $75,000-$100,000, similar to last time. The crew believes the last batch had trouble because it only had 1.5 weeks along with some frost and rain, which prevented it from being a successful replacement. This turf will have almost three weeks to be prepared for "The Game."
