Indiana Coach Died

Indiana coach Terry Hoeppner died today of complications from a brain tumor at age 59. Hoeppner has been on medical leave for the past four months, due to treatment for a brain tumor over the past 18 months. Hoeppner was 9-14 in two seasons. Assistant coach Bill Lynch has been filling the role of head coach, and that will continue into the upcoming season. Hoeppner was head coach at Miami (OH) for eight seasons he was 57-39 with two bowl games in 2003 and 2004. He was an assistant for 11 seasons at Miami. One of his start players from Miami is Ben Roethlisberger, who is currently the QB for the Steelers. Our thoughts are with the Hoeppner family.
