USC So Far this Season
In the game against San Jose State the Trojans started slow, with the first five possessions as two fumbles and three punts. USC scored on the next six possessions, with 28 of the 56 points in the second quarter. The running backs had four of the touchdowns in the game. In fact the first touchdown pass did not come until the third play of the third quarter. This was the first and only touchdown pass for true freshman QB Barkley. The backup players scored in the fourth quarter. Ten players caught passes. The offense had a total of 620 yards, 342 on the ground, and 278 in the air. The defense limited SJSU to 121 yards and only 9 yards on the ground. The USC defense had five sacks.
