W-Auburn: This game could go either way.

3. West Virginia vs. Cincinnati

Old Bag of Man needs this one.

1) OSU wins the Big 10. Without Stanzi and with Dawson's Creek at QB, the OSU defense will eat them alive.

2) Georgia wins. Battle of once good but not anymore SEC teams. Not a believer in Auburn.

3) UC wins. UC keeps the winning streak going past a weak WVU team.

4) TCU wins. They're good.

5) Arizon wins. California has officially fallen apart.

6) Tulane wins. Rice hasn't won a game all year.

Big Dog picks......
1. Iowa vs. Ohio State
OSU will win, but.......I do think it'll be close!
2. Auburn vs. Georgia
Dawgs take a huge bite out of Auburn!
3. West Virginia vs. Cincinnati (Friday)
WVU picks off the over-achieving Bearcats! (my upset pick!)
4. Utah vs. TCU
TCU continues to win and impress.
5. Arizona vs. California
California uses home advantage to win.
And the oddball game this week is:
6. Tulane vs. Rice
Rice, why? Because its my son's favorite side dish! Honest!

3. Cincinnati
4. TCU

If Iowa wins, I'd be really surprised. Without their QB they couldn't even beat Northwestern.

With Cincinnati, it doesn't matter who plays. It's their system that wins games.

To give credit where credit is due: Pat Head. Believing in the Buckeyes when few others did.

Andy Katzenmoyer's Professor, While STILL on Sabbatical, Dictates to his Secretary:

Big kudos to Pat Head for keeping the faith and picking OSU over PSU last week. She was rewarded handsomely (with a likely first place finish for the Guest Panel regular season) for her commitment to the Bucks. The Professor thinks that he'll have to shoot for a top 3 finish in the regular season, as a gold medal seems unlikely at this point. Onto the business portion of the post...

Ohio State def. Iowa: The Professor's A+ game of the week, obviously. Poor, poor Iowa, Ferentz, and Stanzi. SI runs a story on them, and they lose in their next game. I think SI should just run stories on retired athletes/coaches, since every time they have a story on a current team/player/coach, something bad befalls that person/team. It's true, look it up. On another note, wow has the Buckeyes' fate changed in the span on a few weeks. A win vs. Iowa and a win vs. UM, and they're in the Rose Bowl. A few weeks ago after the Debacle at the 'Due, it was looking like an Outback or Capital One Bowl berth.

Auburn def. Georgia: Yikes...you lose two players that are drafted in the top 15 of the NFL draft, and look what happens. Nevertheless, UGA is still favored. I guess being the home team "between the hedges" is a huge advantage or something.

Cincinnati def. WVU: Mountaineers, you screwed me over by losing to USF. You are now forever in my dog house, where you belong.

TCU def. Utah: TCU will likely get screwed out of a BCS title game berth somehow, I'm sure. All because of a poor choice of team nickname, the "Horned Frogs" (trust me, it has nothing to do with the fact that they're in a non-BCS conference).

Arizona def. California: Who would have ever thought that Baby Stoops would be the head coach of the better Stoops family-coached college football team this season? As for the game, Cal will be without Best for this game, so, their best offensive weapon will be on street clothes on the bench. Go with the Wildcats, in a close one.

Tulane def. Rice: Going with the away team on this one. At least they've won a game this year. And New Orleans is a much better city than Houston.

OSU kills IOWA

No Stanzi = No Win. These guys couldn’t have beaten their way out of a wet paper bag last week. It’s a shame they won’t be undefeated coming into the Shoe, but something tells me it wouldn’t have mattered. Rose Bowl here we come!!!!!!

UGA paints Auburn

“Nobody make the Bulldogs bleed their own blood!” – overheard being said by my neighbor from Athens (GA) last week.
Cincinnati remains Undefeated
WVU sucked last week at USF and disappointed many us on the panel….so this week they get the big ax!

Utah excommunicates TCU

The Mormon’s go all Latter-Day-Saints on the Horned-Frogs and tread back to Utah with the spoils of victory. The only thing that makes this game interesting to me is the BCS controversy that will arise should TCU go undefeated.

Cal bests Arizona

Sans all-American running back I still believe the Bears, in their own den, have the Wildcats number. I’d pick a bear in a fight anyhow so that’s two reasons to pick against McCain’s stomping grounds.

Rice knocks off Tulane

‘R’ comes before ‘T’ in the alphabet….good enough for me.

Pat Head's Picks:

1. Ohio State over Iowa - Go Buckeyes!!! What a great showing last week against Penn State. Hopefully the Buckeyes can keep it up!

2. Auburn over Georgia - the away team seems to have the advantage in this rivalry. I think Auburn can figure out a way to stop AJ Green, which is Georgia's entire offense, and come up w/ some big plays for an upset of the Bulldogs.

3. Cincinnati over WVU - UC did not impress me last week against Connecticut. Hopefully this week they will realize how they almost lost and will cream the Mountaineers.

4. TCU over Utah - I want to pick the Utes, but it's tough when TCU is favored by so much. So, I will succumb to the pressure and pick the Horned Frogs.

5. Arizona over California - Cal will be without Best, which will give AZ the advantage.

6. Tulane over Rice - The Green Wave pulled it out in OT last week, they will be riding high and beat Rice.

5. Arizona
