Ohio State lost its first Big Ten game against Nebraska, with a final score of 34-27. Ohio State built a 14 point lead at halftime with a field goal by Basil, Miller's touchdown pass to Stonebrunner, a 63 yard touchdown run by Hyde, and a second FG by Basil. Nebraska was limited to two FGs in the first half. In the third quarter Carlos Hyde added a second touchdown run, building the Ohio State lead to 21 points. Unfortunately that was the last score by the Buckeyes, as the offense came to a screeching halt with a fumble by Miller and his ankle injury on the next possession. After struggling in the first half against the OSU defense, Nebraska scored four touchdowns in the second half to take the lead and eventually the victory. Bauserman came in for the injured Miller and he struggled by only completing one pass in ten attempts. Miller finished with 95 passing yards and 91 rushing yards. Carlos Hyde lead Ohio State with 104 rushing yards.
