OSU leads this series 5-1, but the teams have not met in forty years. California won the first matchup in 1921 with a score of 28-0 in the Rose Bowl, but lost the remaining games in 1950 (Rose Bowl), 1953, 1954, 1971, and 1972. The Buckeyes are 56-26-2 in games against current members of the Pac-12.
