What to Expect

The Pac 12 beat up the Big Ten last week, so Ohio State needs to win for the conference this week. Ok so maybe that is a bit strong, but it was an ugly weekend for the conference. California will line its safeties up closer to the line, so Ohio State will likely take advantage and look for open receivers. There might often be single coverage by the California defense. As a result of California's defense, Miller will be limited in his rushing, unless he can hit some open passes and make California adjust its defense. Look for Ohio State to get 300 passing yards and 200 rushing yards.

California has a fairly balanced offense, but Coach Jeff Tedford is known for his quarterbacks. Be sure to watch the half brothers combo of QB Zach Maynard and receiver Keenan Allen as they will combine for a number of receptions. Receiver Allen is projected as a first round draft pick next year. California will have its most success in the air and may get 250 passing yards, but the running game will be limited to 125 yards.

OSU will win the game 45-25.
