Penn State running game involves multiple running backs including Zach Zwinak, Bill Belton, and Akeel Lynch. Belton scored the game winning touchdown in the fourth overtime against Michigan.

Defense

Leading the team in tackles is Glenn Carson with 49. The defensive line is anchored by defensive tackle DeQuan Jones. The other defensive end, C.J. Olaniyan was the Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week for his eight tackles and 2.5 sacks against Michigan.
