October 8, 2005 - Penn State students rallied the Nittany Lions to victory against the Buckeyes with a sea of white jerseys. IT'S TIME TO RETURN THE FAVOR. WEAR SCARLET TO THE PENN STATE GAME!!
Despite an early season loss to Texas, the Buckeyes arrived in Happy Valley the favorites. Undaunted, the Penn State students showed their support for the Nittany Lions by wearing white shirts. The effect was amazing. The white shirts transformed the ordinarily imposing Penn State student section into a unified wall of noise. No one who watched that game can deny that the screaming white mass of students had an impact on the outcome.
On September 23, the Nittany Lions hope to repeat their performance of a year ago and topple the favored Buckeyes in an early season match-up. But this year things are different. This year the game isn't in Happy Valley. This year the Nittany Lions have to play in the greatest college football town in the country. This year the Buckeyes will exact revenge for the white out! This year, we'll PAINT THE SHOE SCARLET!! Imagine not just the student section, but THE ENTIRE STADIUM awash in a sea of scarlet shirts. If the Penn State fans think they're going to waltz into Columbus and intimidate us with their white jerseys this year, they will be sorely mistaken! When the Nittany Lions step onto the field and see all of Buckeye Nation united in scarlet and screaming for vengeance, they'll learn what we already know. THE BUCKEYES REMEMBER THE WHITE OUT, AND PENN STATE IS GOING DOWN!
