Randy Shannon
In his fourth season at Miami and as a head coach he is 22-17. He signed a new four-year contract in May. He took over the program in 2007 after the program had fallen into trouble numerous times under Larry Coker in the 2006 season, including the bench clearing brawl against the overmatched FIU team. Shannon was the defensive coordinator at Miami from 2001-2006 under Coker. He was a linebacker on the 1987 Miami National Championship team. He had a short career in the Pros and returned back to Miami as a graduate assistant. He was an assistant coach for Miami 1992-1997. He left the U and went to the NFL Miami Dolphins and was an assistant coach from 1998-2000.
