The Series

This will be the seventh meeting in this series that dates back to 1899. OSU won the first five meetings in 1899, 1900, 1901, 1902, and 1999. In the first four games, OSU kept Ohio off the scoreboard, winning 41-0, 20-0, 17-0, and 17-0. In the 1999 game, OSU came back from a halftime tie of 10-10 to win 40-16 behind the arm of first-time starter Steve Belisari. Ken-Yon Rambo played big role in the second half, finishing with seven catches for 181 yards and two touchdowns.
 
Last Time
The most recent game was the most competitive in the series. In 2008, OSU was ranked #3 and had to come from behind in the second half to win the game 26-14. OU led 7-6 at halftime and 14-12 at the start of the fourth quarter. OSU scored two fourth quarter touchdowns to win the game. The first TD in the fourth quarter resulted from a recovered punt. Brandon Saine ran in for a TD six plays later. The last TD was Ray Small returning a 69-yard punt for a touchdown. The OSU defense intercepted the ball four times, including two in the fourth quarter.
