Things to Watch

Miami Against #2 and Big Crowds
Can Miami beat a #2 team with a big crowd? Miami last beat a #2 in 2000, Virginia Tech. The last victory against a #1 team was against Florida State in 2000. Miami has not played in front of a 100k crowd since the 2002 game at Tennessee. Members of the team have been quoted as saying they are not concerned about the crowd size, because in Miami they are always around crowds and celebrities.

Player to Watch (In the coming years)
A player to watch in the future is freshman Seantrel Henderson, the 6-8 355 lb. offensive tackle, who was the prized recruit OSU didn't get this season. Instead Henderson went to USC and was released after the sanctions were imposed. OSU didn't pursue Henderson after he left USC, possibly because of self-reported recruitment violations by OSU in its original pursuit of Henderson. Henderson chose to go to Miami and has already seen action as a true-freshman. If he plays on Saturday, it will be late since he is listed third on the depth chart.

Champs Bowl
It is important to look at the loss to Wisconsin earlier this year. Miami came in with a potent passing game and Wisconsin bullied them at the line and kept pressure on QB Harris. Wisconsin racked up five sacks against Miami. A strong D-line can control Harris.

2003 BCS Championship Game
Will there be any revenge factor? Head coach Randy Shannon was a defensive coordinator in that game, but the current players were middle school age. Some players have been quoted as saying they watched the game live, while others have said they watched the game after enrolling into OSU or Miami.
