Welcome Back?
Four OSU players will return this week, after sitting out the first game. RB Jordan Hall, CB Travis Howard, and Safety Corey "Pittsburgh" Brown will return to the roster, but Fickell has made it clear they have to earn playing time. Also available will be Jordan Whiting, a backup linebacker who missed the first game for his involvement with the tattoo-memorbilia scandal. Also expected to get minutes is RB Jaamal Berry, who missed last week with an hamstring injury.
Upset Alert?
Toledo is coming into this game with an expectation to win, a mindset Akron clearly did not have. Toledo looks to the victory over Michigan in 2008 as an indication it can be Ohio State. However there are two things to remember, for one OSU has not lost to an in-state team since 1921, and also OSU did not hire Rich Rodriquez (thank god.)
Got a Little Captain in You?
Coach Fickell has elected to choose team captains each week, instead of season long captains. This week the captains are senior QB Joe Bauserman, former walk-on junior DB Nate Ebner, and senior LB Andrew Sweat.
