Things to Watch

You Can Finally Play
As you may have heard, on Tuesday night the NCAA reinstated RB Jordan Hall, CB Travis Howard, and DB Corey "Pittsburgh" Brown. Evidently the NCAA was confused over the ambiguity, as it was reported that a booster and a former player were involved in the $200 payments to the three players. A business man from Cleveland, Bobby DiGeronimo, claims to be a huge fan of Ohio State, and has even written articles about his trips to the games. DiGeronimo is a member of the board of a non-profit charity which operates Cornerstone of Hope, the organization that held the event where the transactions took place. DiGeronimo said that the money went to Terrelle Pryor and was given by Pryor to the players for "travel expenses", but DiGeronimo said that neither he nor anyone else with the non-profit were aware of the payments. DiGeronimo takes the blame as he asked the players to attend the event, but he did not provide the money and he originally said he was not sure where the money came from. More recently he did say an unidentified person at the event asked if he could help the players, and he suggested he help pay for gas. He said that he regrets the decision to not stop the individual. OSU did not approve the trip by the players to the charity event. The NCAA ordered the players to pay back the $200 to charity.

Did We Beat Miami Last Year?
As we approach the first game with an opponent OSU played last year, one might wonder if the game ever happened. Did you realize that all victories by OSU last year are gone, but the opponents still lost. OSU lost to Wisconsin, and that still counts as a loss to OSU and win for Wisconsin. Do you have it figured out now? OSU went 0-1 last year, while the opponents must still count the losses to Ohio State.
